Samurai Champloo, the Underated Anime.
66
Have you ever noticed, that sometimes the greatest things you find are hidden or not on the main stream? Well, Samurai Champloo is one of them in the world of anime.
When I first watched the series, I couldn’t believe it. Why isn’t this epic series shown on T.V.? For example the show has a lot of useful lessons in everyday life, For instance:
- Teamwork: In order to meet your goals, at times you need help from others when you want to advance the next step to meeting your goal
- Humor: Life’s unpredictable, sometimes you’re having a blast, but other times your hitting rock bottom. Always keep a sense of humor because you can’t be serious all the time if you want happiness
- Relationship: Make sure you spend time with those around you. Whether it’s your friends, family, relatives, pets, toys, whatever it is that makes you happy. Be sure to spend times with those people or things, because change is always occurring. Both good and bad
- Compassion and Kindness: There are times when those around you seek aid, or need your help. Help them in any way you can. If it’s a Charity, donate some money every now and then. If someone is playing the guitar, tip them. Whether or not they have a tip jar or a hat or a guitar case for money. Do it anyways. Because in the end, you’ll feel great about yourself because you’ve done something to help someone else who’s less fortunate
Samurai Champloo has taught me these lessons in life. But the biggest thing the series has shown me is that there are really just three things a person needs in order to live a happy life: Health, Relationships, and Wealth
Health:
You need to be healthy in order to feel great. If you’re feeling down it will affect your performance in the work industry, or be harmful to those around you.
Relationships:
You will find out if you haven’t already that in order to keep a stable
and functional mind, you must have relationships with people around you. Without relationships, you will find loneliness, and with loneliness comes sadness and depression. And with those strong negative feelings, it will affect your overall health.
Wealth:
You need money in order to survive in the world we live in today. You need money to buy food and water for yourself and your family. You need money to pay mortgage or rent for the house you live in, for it provides
you with shelter and comfort. You need money to buy gifts for family and friends to strengthen bonds with one another. With wealth, you will find that your able to do more and buy more things that make you happy in life.
All
these lessons are shown in the anime and in the books. If you have time, watch the show or read the manga and I’ll bet you will gain knowledge from this series. Anyways back to the series.
Samurai Champloo
The series is about three travelers who venture all throughout Japan to find the samurai that smells of sunflowers.
Fuu: A teen age girl who is determined to find the samurai who smells of sunflowers. She is one of the 3 protagonists in the story.
Jin: A humble, honorable, and highly skilled ronin, who travels the land in order to find out what he was destined to do.
Mugen:
An outlaw, highly out going but quick to temper. Mugen is a total bad***. In all the animes I've seen, this guy tops the list as being one
of the most exciting characters of all time. He goes around to challenge himself but also to cause havoc. He was born on an island filled with criminals.
The 26 episodes of this amazing series are all filled with everything you could have wanted. There’s humour, there’s romance, there’s action.
It’s like action from Gladiator or The Last Samurai; Romance, lessons and mysteriousness of Shakespeare’s writings; Humour like that of Shaolin Soccer or Kung Fu Hustle; all put in a blender and mixed together to form an awesome, amazing, epic series.
This anime is absolutely astonishing and is a must watch and must read series for all adventurers and anime lovers out there.

i agree ,and though i understand he wanted to point out all those things, There is still one thing that isn't really needed to survive which is money..... is shouldn't be important because it tries to control all that is you....what i mean by this is tha everything seen is you. because everything is perception. just as you perceive as the name you re, who you believe you re everything else around you perceives the same way as well, though not to say as a person, because as a person i don't exist but as everything , (perception) i exist, i only strive to take these experiences with me as i create, the love that was put into form, the form itself which is awareness will one day create with that same love a infinite amount of things. So is money needed to have a life without suffering, do people fill their heads with things because they are truly searching for themselves...yes, but eventually all that is you will want to go down the path of self knowing, and money won't matter anymore , nor the date of birth, nor the time, place...only what you are now will matter, perception. When i watch anime like this. i only know to well that those happy endings are possible and we one day through self knowing will experience them (though there are now endings)......so I'm not sure what else to say but thank you ^_^ and namaste
